Our Story
At Home Share Host Hub, we believe home sharing should be welcoming, safe, and beneficial for everyone — not just guests, but also the hosts who open their doors and the communities they live in. Whether you're a homeowner renting out your guest suite or a city official shaping local policies, we’re here to help.​

We empower everyday sharers with practical tools, resources, and mentorship to confidently welcome guests into their furnished spaces — including ADUs, private rooms, guesthouses, and more. From listing setup to hospitality tips, we make it easy to host well.

At the same time, we partner with cities to offer educational materials and compliance resources that promote responsible, transparent home sharing. Our goal is to build bridges between hosts and municipalities — creating stronger communities and better guest experiences.
Home Share Host Hub was founded by Katelyn Almeda, a seasoned home sharer and educator who began hosting in 2015, with a private room in her own primary residence.
What started as a way to earn extra income quickly turned into a deeper mission: helping others discover the power of hosting while supporting communities through responsible, well-informed home sharing.

Over the years, Kate mentored thousands of new hosts and realized most resources were geared toward full-time investors — leaving everyday homeowners and cities without clear support. Home Share Host Hub was created to fill that gap, offering simple tools for hosts and educational resources for cities navigating the future of short-term rentals.
